A few years ago I came across a document from the USITT, “USITT RP-2 Recommended Practice for Theatrical Lighting Design Graphics”, that illustrated the graphics to be used in Theatre lighting. It looked like a good example for Visio shapes, so I created a collection. Rather than a shape for shape creation, this is a collection of shapes that represent a family of shapes from the document. By changing the custom properties, you can get most of the other shapes (there are a few specialty shapes missing). The shapes are based on a scaled drawing and each light pivots around the point that the real shapes pivot.
I have heard nothing from the USITT, so I am just making these shapes public.
So if you are interested, check out the first item at http://visio.mvps.org/Downloads/default.html
